Patagonia: Images of World's End, exhibition

Since the sixteenth century, Patagonia has arroused a multiplicity of representations mixing fantasy and reality.The exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly in Paris presents the first representations of this territory, the myth of Patagonian giants, stories and many images associated with the southern tip of the Americas. The exhibition illustrates this back and forth between reality and fiction, through maps, engravings, photographs, literary texts and travelogues.
